On shared or locked-down computers, open the address the phone shows in any browser and receive photos there.
Your own network drives
With PRO, iPhone, iPad and Android send straight to a NAS or shared folder over SMB or WebDAV. Files go directly between the device and your server.
No accounts to manage
Nobody signs up for a Photo Transfer account to send or receive photos.
Full resolution
Photos and videos keep their full resolution, in the free version and in PRO. The free version sends up to 5 at a time, and PRO has no limit.
USB on Windows
No WiFi available? The Windows app can also connect to phones over a USB cable.
Where your photos go
- Between devices, photos travel directly over your local network. They are never uploaded to our servers.
- With PRO, photos go straight from the device to the network drive or cloud account you choose.
- While Photo Transfer is open on a phone, it registers the phone's local network address and device name with our discovery service, so the desktop app can find it on networks that block automatic discovery. Photo Transfer desktop apps on the same public IP address can see these entries, which are deleted 5 minutes after the phone last registers. No photos, videos or file names pass through it.

Can we install it on managed devices?
Yes. Photo Transfer is free in the App Store, Google Play, the Mac App Store and the Microsoft Store, so your device management system can install it like other store apps. Managed devices often can't buy PRO inside the app, so we agree PRO access for your devices with you directly.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, for transfers between devices. The devices only need to share a local network, such as your WiFi, and that network doesn't need internet access. Uploads to cloud accounts, and downloading iCloud originals on iPhone and iPad, use the internet.
How do we license it for our organization?
Get in touch. The versions in the app stores are licensed for personal use, so we agree licensing and PRO access for your organization's devices with you directly.
